Jeff is a theatre artist based in Chicago. They have been lucky to work in many capacities in Chicago theater over the last decade, including director, actor, playwright, and songwriter.
Jeff is currently Head of the Training Center Music Program at the Second City, the world’s premiere comedy theater. They have directed and performed extensively in improvisation and sketch comedy, and are a founding member of the Improvised Sondheim Project.
Some favorite theater roles include the Chicago premieres of Jerry Springer: The Opera (Montel/Jesus), Coraline (Mr. Bobo), and The View Upstairs (Randy).
As a playwright and songwriter, Jeff’s work has been performed in Chicago and nationally, including Sky Burial (Chicago Dramatists Ten-Minute Workshop, Heideman Award Finalist – Actors Theatre of Louisville), Marlowe Unstuck (Chicago Theatre Marathon), Planted (Chicago Musical Theater Festival), Wake (Greenhouse Trellis Series), and more.
Their solo show, Good Fatty Goes Bad, was performed in Chicago in 2019 and is touring nationally.
Jeff is an alum of Brandeis University, the Johnny Mercer Songwriter’s Project, the Second City Conservatory, and the Academy at Black Box Acting.
